External window cleaning:
Titan Cleaners has completed numerous window cleaning jobs both for private and commercial clients. We regularly enrol our operatives in industry specific courses and we have a large team of people who have obtained CSCS and IPAF cards, which give them permission to work on construction sites and to operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. This allows us to respond to a large number of requests for cleaning commercial and industrial buildings both internally and externally.
In addition, we are CIS registered, CHAS certified, and fully insured company.
We would either use the water-fed pole method for cleaning the windows of your building or alternatively we can use a DOFF steam cleaning equipment for stubborn build-up of grease and dirt.
Water fed pole method
The water fed pole method allows us to clean at medium height with no ladders or access equipment, which is considered as the more cost effective option by our clients.
The mobile system used in this type of cleaning ensures it is always safer for operatives, people on site, and random pedestrians.
Another reason for choosing this particular technology is the fact that it allows our team to perform the tasks completely independently, with no water supply required from our clients.
The pure water used in the process ensures that your windows will have no limescale spots after the job is done.
Professional equipment and products used in order to leave your windows crystal clear, grime, and streak free.
The limitations of this method are that it might not be as effective as a steam cleaning, where the hot water dissolves the dirt on the windows, thus allowing for a more efficient cleaning where tougher build-up is present.
Here comes the DOFF steam cleaning method which we would recommend to clients who require deeper cleaning of their windows.
Get in touch with us, we would discuss your requirements, we would arrange a site survey, and we would suggest the most appropriate method for cleaning the exterior of your building.
Facade & Cladding Cleaning
First of all, as the word suggests, facades are the face of the building but also the face of your business. First impression counts, so the dirt buildup on your facade may repulse some potential clients. We would even point out the look of the facade as your least concern, because the safety of the tenants and the public is the highest priority. Airborne particles mix with the exterior of your property over time, which may cause severe damage to the stone or masonry, the main materials of the building. This process not only results in irreversible damage to your property but it also threatens the safety of the public by increasing the risk of stone fall on adjacent walkways.
Furthermore, various cleaning techniques are used for different buildings (depending on the materials they are built from) and a lack of competence in the cleaning firm you employ, may result in further repair costs.
We regularly enrol our employees in industry specific courses and we would always send a team of professionals who would take care of your property and transform it to its best version.
If you would like to make your building inviting again, book your facade cleaning now.
DOFF Steam Cleaning
The DOFF steam cleaning is a process that heats water up to 150 degrees and the steam is applied to the exterior of the building to treat and remove many forms of organic growth including fungi, algae, moss, and bacteria. In addition, the doff system can be used to effectively eliminate any paint or graffiti.
The system is highly recommended for treating and restoring stone substrates because of three reasons. Firstly, compared to jet washing which involves high pressure, here steam is applied through low pressure, which significantly diminishes the risk from damage. Secondly, the high water temperature can effectively remove organic matter and paint in most cases, which eliminates the use of chemicals. And finally, the doff system is one of the most environmentally friendly cleaning methods, as it requires low energy consumption and it involves solely water usage, without any chemicals.
Softwash & Pressure Washing
Soft washing is a low pressure cleaning process which uses a mix of solutions to treat and remove organic matter such as moss, algae, lichens, mildew and bacteria. It can be applied on roofs, walls, fences and other building exteriors to effectively remove grime, dirt, and other buildup. The method uses a combination of sodium hypochlorite, detergents and water, which come out of dedicated pumps and are precisely applied to the exterior of the property.
In contrast to the pressure washing, this process is much safer as the low pressure application eliminates the risk of damage to the building. It should also be noted that the soft washing does not lead to immediate visible results, but rather the applied chemicals lead to a gradual improvement of the surface over a period of a few weeks. Overall the biggest advantage of this method over the pressure washing is that the risk and cost here are much lower.
Pressure washing is a process of spraying water at a high pressure and it can be used to effectively remove any grime, mud, paint, mould and other build up. The cleaning could be applied to different areas of the exterior of the property including roofs, gutters, and cladding. In addition, pressure washing is frequently used on driveways, sidewalks, patios, and decks.
The reason why jet washers are so efficacious is simply because they are pressurized at about 100-200 times the air around us. In result, surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, and their look is restored immediately.
Paint/Graffiti Strip & Blast Cleaning
Vandalism is a great problem in urban areas and graffiti is a way to look for recognition and fame. Hip hop taggers are responsible for approximately 90% of the graffiti, while graffiti from gang members account for 10% of the total. This comes at a great public cost, not only financial, but also psychic. While councils are responsible for enforcing laws against vandalism, residents have to pay the cost for removing the graffiti from their property.
Study shows that the sooner graffiti is removed, the lower the resurgence rate.
If removed within 48 hours, there is only a 15% probability that the property will be marked again, but if graffiti is removed within 7 days, the resurgence rate jumps to 50%.
Should you leave it for more than 2 weeks, it is highly likely you would find more graffiti around.
These marks not only deface your property but also the appearance of your neighbourhood becomes less attractive.
Also, the sooner you attempt to clean it, the more likely it will be removed.
Blast cleaning or sandblasting is a process of bombarding a surface with either sand, grit or shot. Normally the procedure is carried out to efficiently remove rust, scale, paint and other stuck build up. Some of the surfaces where blasting could be applied include stones, brick, masonry, and even iron and steel. The blasting is carried out only by trained and qualified operatives to ensure that the correct abrasive materials are used to treat different surfaces. There is various equipment available to be used in the process, so that dust is vacuumed and the health of operatives and people around is protected.
Corrosion on pipelines, for instance, is a common problem. This could easily be solved with a sand blasting procedure as shown on the picture below.
